Osteopathy is a hands-on, holistic approach to healthcare. Osteopaths diagnose a range of injuries and physcial complaints, based on detailed case history taking, and thorough physical assessments.

They offer highly individualised treatment plans that include a combination of joint manipulation, muscle stretching, soft tissue massage, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation advice.

Osteopaths are highly qualified healthcare professionals, regulated by the General Osteopathic Council, and fully recognised by the NHS.

Sports Massage

Find out more

Sports massage is the application of advanced massage techniques for use with the prevention, maintenance and rehabilitation of sporting injuries. Sports massage therapists are skilled in the assessment of musculoskeletal injuries.

Sports massage helps alleviate the stress and tension that builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. The massage will help prepare the athlete for peak performance, drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility and prevent injuries.

It is also effective on injuries not incurred through sports such as day to day work related aches and pains.

Anatomy in Motion (AiM) is the game changing philosophy in human movement eliminating pain and maximising human potential created by Gary Ward.

Working from the feet up we will map your body position and the way your body moves when walking. From this detailed analysis we can see what movements your body has difficulty with and where your body needs a little help. By performing specific movement patterns your body will learn how to heal itself through the experience of whole integrated movement.

Re-learning an efficient way of moving to maximise your movement potential.

Medical Acupuncture

*Used in conjuction with osteopathy and sports massage if appropriate.

Medical acupuncture is a modern adaptation of the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture. It is defined as a therapeutic technique that involves the insertion of fine needles into certain points across the body to encourage healing and pain relief.

Acupuncture is effective in a range of painful conditions and is commonly used for short-term relief of chronic low back pain and neck pain, and can help with knee pain caused by osteoarthritis.

There is good evidence that it is effective in the short term relief of tension type headaches and migraine, and of temporomandibular (jaw joint) pain.

Pain-free Posture for Parents

Find out more

Pain-free Posture for Parents is a series of treatment programmes that have been developed specially for, and in response to, the many parents I see every week in clinic.

Typically I see mums with kids between the ages of 6-24 months and dads with kids between the ages of 2-4. This seems to be due to the nature of what the body has been through, the cycle of change in daily habits since becoming a parent and the amount of lifting and carrying of kids and equipment that is done in the early years of parenting.

These treatment programmes are designed to IDENTIFY what has caused you to be in pain, RESOLVE the underlying issues and IMPROVE the way you physically move through life so as to avoid getting in pain again in the future.

Being a parent of two kids my self I know how life seems to get slightly out of control and we end up fire fighting through each day. Because I understand this I have designed the programmes to be flexible, the exercises easy to achieve and will discuss points of stress during the week that are slowing recovery down. The reason I do this is because daily stress effects our physical body and reducing stress in any form will ultimately help us recover quicker.

The programmes are born out of my own personal desire to be the best and most active parent I can be and my passion to help others achieve the same thing so that our kids can get the best of us and we can get the best of our selves.
